HVAC systems come in all manner of shapes and sizes and a lot of care needs to be taken when choosing one that is right for you; AC installation must be done carefully in order to avoid having a unit that is either too small or too big for you house or you will end up with poor energy efficiency and high energy bills. To add on to that, you will have a hard time getting that correct temperatures when you have an AC system that is not working optimally. There are a few important factors you need to remember when planning for AC installation service.

AC systems work in pretty much the same way by pulling heat from your house using the same system that a refrigerator uses. While the set up may vary from one system to another, the fundamental issues are basically the same; they have a condenser coil that pushes hot air outwards, an evaporator coil that transfers cool air into the house and a compressor that circulates a refrigerant fluid between the two. There is a window mounted or portable units or a central air conditioner.
AC installation involving window mounted air conditioners, which are single unit systems that can fit in windows, is perhaps the least expensive option in comparison to installing a central air conditioning system; they work effectively in single rooms. Window AC units also have the advantage of an easy set up and most of them will easily plug up into your standard electrical socket; there are larger units that require 115 volt or 230 volt circuits. When the hot weather is gone, all that you need to do is to unplug it and remove it from the window. These portable AC units are most ideal for homes without air ducts or in places where central air conditioning is not a viable option.

Split unit AC installation involves a unit that has two parts; one part is placed inside the room while the other part remains outside. The compressor, condenser and expansion valves are the part that is placed inside the room while the while the cooling oil and the fan remain outside. One reason most people love split units is because they are aesthetically pleasing and they also allow cooling the entire house. Most of the central air conditioning systems use the split system because of their large cooling capacity.

The other category of AC installation is the packaged air conditioner; these are basically ideal for larger spaces such as more than two rooms or an office situation. This type of AC has the compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator all in one box; it pushes cool air through the ducts in various rooms through a blower.
