You're already well-aware of the fact that you're going to be interviewed, which ultimately means that you're going to be asked a plethora of seemingly trick questions that you must answer correctly. You're also aware of the fact that you need not say too much. However, when you do speak, it's important to ask questions to let your employer know that you're truly interested in the position being offered. Here are some of the most important questions to ask:

1. What Would You Consider to be the Most Important Aspects of the Job? Asking your employer this question provides them with a chance to further explain to you what the most important aspects of the job actually are. This lets your employer know that you are interested in what the job involves.

1. What Are the Different Career Paths in the Department? Asking this question tells the potential employer that you are interested in staying with the company and working your way up. The more interested you seem in staying with the company, the better your chances will be for getting the job.

1. What Are the Most Valuable Characteristics to Possess When Working For Your Company? - You may not have the job yet, but this question is sure to bump up your chances. Not only that, your employer will take great pleasure in answering this question. In addition, you'll gain insight as to what is expected of you on the job.

1. Can You Tell Me About Your New Product Plans For Growth? - Asking this question lets your employer know that you're not only interested in getting the job, but also what you can do in order to increase sales, improve products, etc. This question shows that you have a desire to learn more about the company. Ultimately, it shows that you're veering in the right direction.

1. What Are Some of the Company's Huge Achievements Over the Past Years? - This is yet another question that your employer will love to answer as it provides them with the opportunity to "brag" a little about their past achievements. In turn, your employer might also view you as a wonderful conversationalist and lean toward you as a more ideal candidate for hire.

1. What Are the Most Immediate Challenges of the Position That Should Be Addressed Within The First Few Months? - This question lets your employer know that you are serious about getting down to business. It also allows them to pinpoint the areas of the position being offered where you must display the most skill, as well as lets you know what to further expect if hired.

1. What Are the Next Steps in the Interviewing Process? - This particular question will most likely help you get the second interview and is a way of letting your employer know that you're confident in the future. Confidence is a very admirable trait in a potential employee. Your employer will take note of that, inform you of the next steps, and most likely, give you the follow-up call.
Remember that asking questions is crucial. Asking questions helps you to stand out, and ultimately, ups your chances of landing the job.
