Feng Shui for Your Office
Your office is the place where you get your work done, where you do your business and where you need to be productive. But when your Feng Shui isn’t balanced, then you might be setting yourself up for disaster – or at least inefficiency. If you find that your business is not producing what you would desire you might take a look at the Feng Shui of your office With just a few basic changes to the way your office is laid out, you can begin to feel the difference in the energy and in your workflow since you’ll be working with the energy, as opposed to against it. Your employees will love it and so will our bottom line.
The Way You Sit
Many people don’t realize that one of the most basic Feng Shui fixes they can make is to the way they sit at their desk. While you might think you are comfortable, the wrong chair or the wrong angle of your monitor can cause a lot of troubles – both physical and energetically. You want to use a chair that is specifically designed for being at a desk all day. This chair is probably going to cost a bit more than your average chair, but it will be adjustable for height, back angle, and it should have arm rests. What you’re trying to do is to be able to sit at your desk comfortably for hours. Your legs should be at a 90 degree angle to the floor, your arms should be parallel to your keyboard, and your desk, if possible. Your back should be against your chair. This new alignment will allow energy to flow freely and it will allow you to stay alert and productive. A small thing like a ergonomically designed chair will improve your employees performance. They will be happier about coming to work. Happy employees produce a better product and service making your customers more loyal.
New Furniture May be Best
While it’s often tempting to buy old or used furniture in order to keep your home office price conscious, this does not necessarily add up to good Feng Shui. When you use used pieces of furniture, you aren’t sure what energy it holds. That desk you found at a garage sale might have been a place where someone lost their business or had bad luck. And you don’t want that in your office. Try to use new furniture whenever possible or at least try to find out the history of the piece of furniture to help you better understand what energy you’re bringing into your space.
If you have no choice but to use pre-owned furniture make sure it gets a good cleaning and burning some sage around it in a clock wise direction will help to set a new energy field for your business.
In the end, Feng Shui fixes will help you and your business be more productive. The better the energy at your desk, the better the work that comes when you work in that area.
