It’s sad, yet it’s true. Gurus and experts might have suggested expensive ways for you to increase your self confidence, but based on my experience, that’s not necessary and practical at all.

That’s because you can get depressed if you know you had to burn a hole in your pocket just to increase your self confidence, and what good can that do for you?

Trust me, there are other cheaper and even free ways in which you can use to increase your self confidence. I’ve tried them before, and I know that they are effective. Allow me to share them with you below.

The First Way – Dress Your Best

This might sound really stupid, but try it out and tell me if it doesn’t work for you.

It’s a fact that well-dressed individuals do get the attention of people because they do exude an aura that you don’t feel from individuals who don’t take the effort to dress up. And when you get so many eyeballs looking at you with admiration, that helps to increase your self confidence.

And trust me, you don’t have to break the bank for this. Even something as simple as wearing polished shoes and neatly ironed shirt and pants can work.

If you’re a lady, then you can even use some additional steps like using appropriate make up to add some radiance to your face. I can bet you that make up, even if it’s used sparingly, can make you look much better as long as you use it appropriately.

The Second Way – Think Positive Thoughts

It’s been scientifically proven that you are not only what you eat, but also what you think. So if you think positive and confident thoughts on a regular basis, you can increase your self confidence overtime, for free!

Now, this might sound difficult for some. After all, if you can just increase your self confidence by changing your thoughts, where do you start?

A good way that I found is to start thinking about your past accomplishments made you proud. Relive them and be proud of them. And as you do, smile. That will condition your body to associate the positive thoughts with happy feelings.

The more you do them, the more confident you’ll feel.

Now, if you think you don’t have any past accomplishments, that is not true. Everyone has their accomplishments, and if you dig deep enough, you can find them, believe me.

The Final Way – Just Relax and Do What’s Really Important

Much too often, we clutter our lives with too many unnecessary tasks that take our attention away from what’s really important, and when we don’t accomplish what’s really necessary, our confidence in life gets dampened.

If that’s you, here’s a phrase I’d like you to know:

“Stop doing everything, and learn to do nothing, so you can start to do something that matters”.

And when you can just slow down and relax, then start doing the important things in life like spending time with people who matter to you in life, then you can slowly but surely increase your self confidence because you feel you accomplished much.

Try it. You’ll be glad you did.
