When you start a website and plan to sell a product on it, the first thing that strikes you is how to convert your visitors into buyers, once you start getting the traffic. So we'll investigate a couple of reliable tips designed to increase your conversion rate. It can be tough getting online readers to believe your copy; but still, rock solid supporting material or information is essential for high-converting copy. Have you ever read or heard something and wondered, "Is that really true?" Anyone who has spent any appreciable amount of time on the net realizes you have to separate fact from fiction quite frequently. Perhaps the best perspective and approach is to simply offer what you have, support your claims the best you can, and you can't get too concerned about what people think. But realize and understand that it's not "only" your sales copy that contributes to feelings of trust; it is the entire experience on your website, too. Think about how you plan to offer your supporting data, and if it means showing personal data about yourself or your business, then just be careful how to do it. Using videos is a great way to explain things that are generally hard to explain via text. If you're selling an ebook about 'making money on the Internet', then you better have screenshots, check scans, etc, to show them that you're walking the talk. How about using supporting material but in the way of social proof? That kind of support comes in the way of expert testimonials about your claims, etc. Make a genuine effort to provide the kind of proof you would want to see, and then see what happens. One of the most obvious tips to increase your conversion rate is to make your benefits more evident. In other words, you have to make every effort to show your prospect what benefit they will get out of buying your product. Benefit bullets explain the benefits of whatever you're selling, product or service or even a newsletter; and they have to express the benefits in terms of emotional fulfillment. Benefit bullets are terrific because they are short, stand-out, easy to skim/scan, and they have the effect of causing people to stop if they see a good one. You see, when people are skimming they will actually read the bullets because they are short; and then they can understand and know what your product will do for them. What emotional needs does your product serve? There are usually many for any product, and you must extract them and convey them in a sentence or two. Benefits are derived from features, they are features expressed in emotional terms that the reader wants to have. Restate your offer in your order form and also state the guarantee once again. Shopping cart abandonment rate is extremely real and happens to all businesses, so that is why you want to try to minimize that. Try as much as possible to avoid such a situation by reassuring them of the offer and by taking the risk off their shoulders. All in all, increasing your website's conversion ratio is a gradual process and will take time.
