Installing Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7 Using a USB Flash Drive

It could be a difficulty to install Windows 7 or Windows Vista for the Netbook/ Laptop users. Both of the operating systems can be installed using the DVD for which DVD Drive is required. However, this Drive is not available in the Netbook. Though, people can install the desired windows with the help of USB 2.0 Flash Drive. Minimum Memory of USB Device should be 4GB. It works exactly the same way how DVD works. For this, firstly, you need to make the USB bootable so that it can store all the informations and instructions available in DVD.

Note: It is mandatory to copy the ISO image if Windows 7 or Windows Vista to the USB Drive. This can be done by using the DVD or Microsoft Windows7/Vista Tool. Microsoft Windows 7/Vista tool can be downloaded from the internet.
Before Copying the ISO image of the Windows to the Flash Drive, it is important to perform formatting on the USB Device so that it will become a fresh new device to store the Windows Installer.

To copy the Windows 7/ Vista ISO image to USB Drive, following are the simple steps:
Step 1
Attach the USB Flash Drive with the system by placing it into the USB Ports present on you CPU.
Step 2
Run the DVD or the tool. A window will open asking to choose an 'ISO file'. Click on 'Browse' and choose the respective ISO file from the list and then click on 'Next'.
Step 3
Next page will be opened asking to choose media type. Select USB Device by clicking on it.
Step 4
Then click on the rectangular box in the next page and look for your flash drive and click on it to select it. In case if you are not been able to view your device click on 'Refresh' which is present in the form or small icon just beside the rectangular box. Then click on the tab 'Begin Copying'.
Step 5
Wait the copying procedure is finished. This step will delete all the partitions present in your USB device and will format it.
Step 6
When the above procedure is completed you need to Restart your system. To Restart the system go to 'START' option and click on it. Then click on the arrow tab present on the extreme right of the Start Menu (beside 'SHUT DOWN' option) and hit the 'Restart' tab.
Now you will be able to view the files for installing Windows 7/ Vista on your Flash Drive.

OR

Windows Installer can also be transferred directly to your Device with the help of 'WinToFlash' function. All you need to do is to run the wizard and follow the instructions provided and Windows installer file for Windows 7 as well as Vista will be transferred to the Flash Drive.

To Install the Windows7/ Vista from USB to your System.
The Windows Installer installed in your Flash Drive will Run automatically after Restarting the system. This will install the respective Windows at its own.
