The Compaq Presario C500 laptop has preinstalled Windows Vista, but Window 7 is the most recent version of windows operating system. So, if you want to upgrade your Compaq Presario C500 from Windows Vita to Window 7, you must have to purchase the Windows 7 disc or download the upgrade files from the Microsoft. The upgrading from Windows Vista to Window 7 process might take less than 30 minutes. While upgrading your Vista to Window 7, all your personal data or file gets transferred automatically to new Window 7. So you didn't have to create the backup copy of personal files. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you can't upgrade your Vista running on 32- bit to the 64 bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa.

Step 1
