Call individual agents in your city. Make certain all aspects of your needs are covered in the quote. Ask how fast you get a response in case of an accident. The agent may or may not assist his or her client when a claim is being filed. Ask how much help would be offered if an accident occurred. You may also want to ask if they would review your driving record and offer you a lower rate than other companies. There is a rating company where you can verify the financial stability of all insurance companies you are considering when taking out a policy. The two foremost agencies are Standard & Poors and A.M. Best. Some consumer magazines offer information and ratings on the leading insurers.
