Why would you want to utilize HTML in WordPress?
In a word, flexibility. You have got more freedom to structure and customize the look and feel of your content or webpages by way of an HTML editing tool. You can put pics exactly where you would like them, add tables with precise heights and widths, use backdrop pictures etc. These types of pages appear far better designed to your visitors and have a tendency to hold their interest for longer.
WordPress is a fantastic piece of software in its own right. Nevertheless, try copying HTML in WordPress directly, and it doesn't do an acceptable job of converting that HTML to the world wide web. The text appears disproportioned and images are generally not where you need them, thats the bad news.
The good news is - there's a really easy way we are able to design our posts or pages in HTML using a free program and then have a free plugin translate that HTML code for us withi
WordPress so it looks exactly like the initial HTML when published!
The Free Software applicatio
There are actually a couple of pieces of software we require in order to make use of HTML in WordPress - one software program and one WordPress Plugin:
- PageBreeze Software program
- Raw HTML WordPress Plugin
PageBreeze is a totally free HTML editing tool; just do a quick search for this in Google. The installation is very straightforward. PageBreeze can function over virtually any Windows XP, Windows vista or Windows 7 PC. Raw HTML is a plugin you can find by logging directly into your WordPress dashboard, going to add Plugin and then searching for Raw HTML. Install and activate this Plugin.
Copying your HTML in to WordPress
Before we copy the HTML over, ensure you have activated the Raw HTML wordpress plugin.
Develop a page or post as you would usually do. You'll notice at the right hand side, an extra box called RAW HTML. There are Several boxes:
- Disable wptexturize
- Disable automatic paragraphs
- Disable convert_charsrn- Disable smilies
On each and every fresh article you make, you will want to check the first 3 of these boxes. I usually tend to leave the smilies unchecked simply because I really like the smilies!
After that, we then want to place some code into the main text space. You will need to surround the HTML we are going to copy from PageBreeze with the Raw HTML code. I cannot really paste this right here as this article directory site sees it as HTML and disallows my post! But please see the website link to our full article beneath. This HTML code must be on the very first line and the final line (immediately above and under the HTML). Copy this code to line 1 in addition to line 3 of the textual content space.
We shall now copy and paste the HTML. Open PageBreeze after you've finished building your page and choose the "HTML Source" page tab. Copy all of the HTML code and paste it between the two pieces of Raw HTML code.
Click preview and see how your post will look!
Using HTML in WordPress Summary
Never, ever underestimate the significance of offering your site visitors with a well presented, picture full collection of pages and articles. I use this strategy on each and every one of my pages and have noticed a considerable increase in the length of time website visitors stay on my pages and site in general. Persevere with this and I assure you it is going to become a habit following the first several pages!
