If you do something very niche, it's easy to think of things to write about and identify people who want to come see your blog. If you are running more than one "Pile them high and sell cheap" type of operation in which their products do not fit into any specific category and its customers could be anyone, anywhere, then a blog may not be as useful get more customers.
