If you've been a longtime reader of conversions per day, you may have noticed that there is no one way to "Tweet" one rank. All we have are generic links Facebook, Twitter, and also there is a way as individual messages on Facebook, at the bottom of each post.
I want to share with you a little case study that shows why this is so, and why Facebook is winning the race right now.
Reaction of most people is typical: "Why not have a way to both Facebook" like "and Twitter" tweet "a particular post on the blog? I'm about to give you the answer in this case study and help with its own product website, or whatever you are using Facebook and / or Twitter.
Conversions When day began, there was a way to Como and Tweet as blogs.
The problem was I was not getting much action. Not many people hit the Facebook button and not many people Tweeting at the time, I attributed it to the site was not yet famous enough that people spend all the media. Yet another blog I realized I had a lot of tweets and a lot of tastes on Facebook and was newer than the daily conversions. Hmm ..
Time for a test division.
For a period of a couple of weeks, the only component of the media used was Twitter. Oddly to me at that moment, with only one option, still not used much. Hmm ..
Then, shaking daily conversions uniquely Facebook "As" button. Wow, this was "like" all of a sudden, no, a ton, but she was doing was resulting in some nice extra traffic. People were actually reading the references to Facebook. Nice!
I tried this for about 6 months and thus obtained the same results.
I figured it was time for another test to see if that was a fluke then. I quickly hit up for Twitter back in his Facebook site, and saw a fall. I tried both .... fall. Facebook was the clear winner among readers, uniquely its own.
My analysis of why Facebook is better.
Do not get me wrong, I think Twitter is a wonderful thing for many companies and industries. However, I think Facebook is more for the "readers" and Twitter is more for "surfers". People who want to see a lot of things seem to gravitate toward fast Twitter, where a large amount of changes a lot of people and it's great to get all the information quickly.
Facebook, however, is more a meeting place for thinkers place and I think these people tend to "read" every time there is a long time friend and if there is something not as "lost" in a sea of tweets as would in Twitter. Do not misunderstand me, Twitter could also be by "thinkers" on niche given, but results swing heavily towards Facebook to daily conversions.
Facebook vs Facebook wins and Twitter and Facebook combined vs singular.
You might think that giving people the option of one or tweet or as would result in the presence of social media. However, in my tests, I found a Facebook As for himself the results in most of the traffic on the blog. I have some friends who have recently tested this on their products, and are beginning to find similar results in something like Facebook-ing to get customers more than having the two options.
Twitter To give some due respect and credit, still occasionally tweet. In fact, I personally tweets on the blog more than me on the Facebook blog. However, the opposite is true for readers:)
I'm sure there are sectors or niches in which this is not true, and this could be a kind of ironic stroke of luck, although that seems to have had some here anyway! As I always say, split test your own website, product, service to ensure that what you thought it made sense to actually help your business more!
Do not forget to "equal" below this post!
Note to Jason Yelowitz for the reminder of the publication, this case study! Look for a review of his book next week!
