If you are struggling to promote your website and want to improve your online business transactions, you just need to have a good search engine placement in order to gain targeted visitors. Search engine visibility will open doors for people to find and choose your site amidst other related sites. To achieve better visibility in search engines, search engine indexing or website indexing is an essential SEO (Search Engine Optimization) technique to use.

Google offers “On Demand Indexing” to those who want to have their own site or Blog domain and are determined to excel in online marketing. After submitting your Blog's domain name or URL to search engine databases such as Google, the search engine spiders or bots will crawl the web to find your site and record its details or content.

Google spiders crawl the websites with certain unknown factors, they run secretly and in random schedules, so there is no point in trying to work out their pattern. The search engines will then process the information that they have gathered and will rank the sites according to their algorithm. This ranking is called search engine indexing and usually new sites will be indexed after about two months. However, not all pages of a site are always indexed because they may be affected by their distance from the site’s root directory.

Aside from Google, there are other leading search engines available for website indexing. Among the older search engines are Netscape, Web Crawler, Magellan and Excite, but the only two older search engines that can still (sort of) stand side by side with Google are MSN (now www.bing.com) and Yahoo (which is of course a directory). In years past, they were “the” reliable search engines that were commonly used by people in searching for online resources. Lastly, Ask.com (the new version of Ask Jeeves) is also garnering popularity amongst search engine users, even though it is fairly new to the business.

Getting indexed in search engines like Google though is not enough. As web users enter their keywords to search for a particular topic, search engines will list the results related to their used keywords. The search results are listed in a hierarchy based on the search engine index of the sites. So, your next goal after getting your site indexed is to get it listed at the top of the index so that people will be more likely to click your site’s link. This will not happen on its own, you must be pro-active if you want to get the desired traffic to your site.

If you are wondering about the possibility of getting a new site indexed in less than 24 hours, it can be done. BUT, attempting to do something bold like this requires the use the most current but also fast changing online marketing techniques. You can use techniques like joining Social Bookmarking Sites, Article sites, Hubpages and other 2.0 tricks to reach your desired website rank quickly, and they do work, but searching the Internet for quality information on how to do it will take up a lot of your time.

If you are new to online marketing and want to start a website and begin making money quickly, the easiest way is to find a ready made system that gives you a complete A-Z guide that shows you step by step how to put up a Blog site, get it ranked and start making money the fastest way possible using the most current techniques.
