rnOpening thought & Background storyrn rnI think it is pretty remarkable how things can fall into place and I am a firm believer in the saying everything happens for a reason. Let's face it, it keeps most of us sane. The things we don't get or don't understand at the moment can always fall back on well, it happened for a reason, right??! At least that's what I think. rnThe moment that I decided to take the health and wellness path through college as an Exercise Science major was about the time that this dream vision started to piece together in my mind. I recognized that there were several great paths to take such as being a physical therapist or athletic trainer, but that wasn't enough for me. I wanted something more but at the time I didn't know exactly what that was. rnWhenever someone asked me what I wanted to do with my degree or just my life in general, I answered, “Something in the health and wellness field." The broadest answer out there. rnI knew I wanted to help people and throughout my four years in college that vision became more and more vivid, but I considered that vision a dream. A dream as in " I WISH" I could make this a career. It isn't that I didn't think it would ever happen, I just knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon, so I didn't want to exhaust myself with the possibility just yet. If you let it, thinking about the future can be a real doozy on the brain. rnI choose to live day by day and appreciate everything and everyone I encounter during that day. Although I am not consistently planning my future, every single day I am making an effort toward what I want to do with my life as a whole. From taking care of my body and mind, to researching, to reading, to communicating with people and making connections with organizations and potential employers. It all adds up. With a true effort and a driven mind set, I believe everything can fall into place but I am young and still learning how to take on the REAL world. ...Now back to the vision... rnWhat is the vivid vision you're wondering?! The first of several pieces in the vision is this very blog. The creation of a brand that speaks for itself (Live Your Masterpiece) and the rest of the vision is unannounced, yet underway. rnThe Here & Now rnA really great friend and someone very special shared a quote with me that resonated deep... "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."- Mark Twain rnI am a sucker for good quotes and Mark Twain knows exactly how to fire up all the feels. rnI believe that my role on this planet is to help people. I am devoted and inclined to help others, being a go-to type of person is something I pride myself on being. I authentically say that my true calling is to inspire and encourage and support. I don't know if this is my sole purpose but I do believe when you want something bad enough and you surround yourself with positive energy, thoughts, and people. When the efforts and actions are there, your dreams start becoming reality. The Universe conspires and attracts to work in your favor. Everything that is happening right now feels right. rnFortunately, one of my very best friends, Carter, has similar visions, goals, and dreams, and together we knew we could create something original and unique. rnCarter and I have had endless conversations about how passionate we are about healthy, balanced living. This may sound a bit kooky but yes, we actually sit down and exchange stories, experiences and tid bits on how we have gotten to the point at we are in our lives and it is truly a blessing once you look at the bigger picture. It's not perfect, nothing is, BUT it is as perfect as we believe. You are what you believe. We have created it for ourselves, it didn't just happen. rnSo comfortablern So at peacern So carefree yet driven to succeedrn rnWe both recognized that we didn't always think or act in this manner, it took time and much self-development and discovery. Now that we have been living the best we know at this very moment in time, we feed off of one another's explosive energy and naturally want to share and help others thrive. Especially the youth because that is where the dreams begin. "Don't let your dreams be dreams"- Jack Johnsonrn rnWith having so much to say, the idea of creating a blog website that can serve as an outlet to channel our personal thoughts, practices, lifestyles, experiences, advice, hopes, dreams, and aspirations seemed like the most fun, first step action to take! rnWith stokage levels higher than ever on the thought of this all becoming a reality, we were determined to think of a name as soon as possible. rnI tend to do my best thinking and listening on my bike, so I jumped on my noble steed and went for a ride. It was near sunset, cool breeze brewin listening to my favorite podcast (Rich Roll) and the guest on the show used the word Masterpiece. My brain immediately admitted sparks and Live Your Masterpiece was my EUREKA! I could not wait to get home and share the idea with Carter. All along I was thinking of how a few words wouldn't do the whole idea and goal of our vision justice, BUT THIS DID. rnTo be continued... <3 Thrive Onrn -Jess
