I've been teaching intuition development classes for over twenty-five years and I'm often asked about my favorite techniques. Here's one that I call the "Good Choice/Bad Choice" exercise. Write several sentences on a notepad about a decision you’re facing. For the purpose of this exercise, give yourself two options — Choice A and Choice B. Imagine yourself making the decision to go with choice A. Close your eyes and ask yourself the following questions. Then repeat the exercise with choice B. “How do you feel about this decision?” Good decision: You feel enthusiastic.rnBad decision: You feel down and depressed. “How do you physically experience this decision?” Good decision: You experience lightness, openness or flexibility.rnBad decision: Your stomach or shoulders tighten at the thought of pursuing this choice. “Do you receive any visual impressions when thinking about this choice?” Good decision: Positive images surround the symbolic representation of this decision.rnBad decision: You see an X through the decision or you see some other negative image. After going through this exercise, what choice does your intuition indicate? If you're still not sure, try taking some small next steps towards the decision you feel best about. If everything works out, continue those next steps! Intuition is your inner compass it always leads you in the right direction!
