Irregular Menses Symptoms Many women experience 11 to 13 menstrual periods in an annual cycle. Bleeding remains for about 5 to 6 days. Though, it may vary from 2 to 7 days. When menstruation takes place in the girl, almost two years are required for developing a regular cycle. The menstruation of most women is normal after puberty and the length between each period is alike. But when the cycle goes for more than five weeks, it can be counted as one of the symptoms of irregular menses. Irregular Menses Treatment For the treatment of irregular menses, oral contraceptive pills can be prescribed for getting the periods back on track for a woman. If there are a single or two irregular periods in an annual cycle, there is nothing to worry about usually.
