Plus, as heat rises, you can actually use a low speed ceiling fan to keep the warmer air spreading and thus warming your house. The water that you use in your floor heating system is not squandered because it is continually recycled throughout the system. The reduced amount of energy needed to keep the floor heated will save you money monthly and will bring down your overall carbon footprint.
Keep in mind that it's the little things that can make a great difference. Wrapping your water heater with thermal blankets will allow you to save money on your water heating expenditure. Turning off lights when you exit the room and electric devices when you're not using them will save you energy and money. Finally, turning down your water heater's temperature will help to bring down your electricity costs.
You will be astonished at how many little things you can do on a regular basis to make your lifestyle more earth friendly. Take the first step to living a greener life today and you will be astonished at the impact you can make in the long haul.
