Each one of us wishes to stay fit and have our own way of staying fit. Some of us would prefer a wak in the park, some would work out at the gym and some others would resort to yoga. There are many classifications of this form of exercise. Various schools have come up with their own unique styles of attaining physical and mental health. Out of all the forms of Yoga one very famous is ‘Bikram Yoga’rnKnown as Hot Yoga in US, this was introduced by Bikram Choudhary. It is not a very old variation of Yoga. The gurus or practitioners have introduced this concept in the end of 20th century. Bikram taught this exercise to around 3 million people in India and then AMA requested him to teach this exercise in US. It is known as Hot Yoga because the postures in this form of exercise is practiced in a heated room. It basically rejuvenates and strengthens the entire body and mind. You would now whether it will help you in weight loss. rnStaying fit is a trend and need of the day. There are many ways of staying fit, one of which is Yoga. There are many classifications of this form of exercise. Various schools have come up with their own unique styles of attaining physical and mental health. It has its origin in Indian culture aged back to hundreds of years. The oldest religious scriptures of Hindu namely Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagwad Gita have mentions of this art in the ‘gurukuls’ where the ‘Guru’ (teacher) would train his ‘Shisyas’ (students) and help them to attain physical and ental strength and peace. Out of all the forms of Yoga one very famous is ‘Bikram Yoga’rnThis exercise has around 26 poses. These poses are practiced in one session of 90 minutes regularly. Since it is practiced in a heated room, the temperature of which is 105F and humidity is 40 %, it provides the right atmosphere for work out. It leads to sweat, which helps burning calories and fats and increases the intake of water. Water again helps in flushing out toxins from your body and improve your metabolism which helps in losing weight. The two breathing exercises completely soothes your mind and soul de-stressing you. This is essential to stay fit. Stress and anxiety also leads to gain in weight or excessive loss in weight. • With the aging process the muscles and bones of one’s body gets stiff and increases the pressure on joints. Stretching exercises in this form of exercise revitalizes your body. • The energy level in one’s body increases and also makes one feel young not only at heart but also at health. • It also helps in regeneration of tissues in your body and cure many diseases. rnBikram Yoga can be practiced at any age or a person on any stage of fitness level. Even the ones who do not have much flexibility in their body can opt for this style of exercise and live a healthy life.
