Majority of us cannot recall our past births. Given this fact, it could lead one to think that why at all should one bother for moksha then? And given such a situation, is moksha excessively overrated? rnThe answer is a resounding NO! Moksha means complete and permanent freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth. Moksha means ultimate liberation! Moksha implies experiencing total and eternal bliss. Where there is moksha, there does not exist an iota of suffering; whereas in the cycle of births and rebirths, there is nothing but suffering and agony! Do you know at the time of taking birth or undergoing death, the physical pain is so intense and immense that consequently one is rendered unconscious and the entire memory of our past life is erased out? This is why we cannot recall our previous births. And in a way, it is bliss in disguise until one gets onto the path of moksha, because recalling of last births is so very painful for anyone and everyone around. For example, if one recalls the past and learns that his current partner was his mother in his last birth, will he be happy to learn this fact? Will this knowledge not affect him adversely? Hence, it is good that we cannot recall our last births. Yes, it is an altogether different thing if one has taken on the path of moksha… rnIgnorance means darkness. And darkness by nature is very painful and miserable. Moksha means a release from all kinds of ignorance, including the ignorance of the whereabouts of our last births. This is the reason why one rates moksha to be of the highest order and therefore strives day and night to get there! Our Soul is our real Self. However, it is covered with numerable amount of karmas. As a result, generally it is not possible for one to recall his previous births. But as one progresses on the path of moksha, the knowledge that these karmas obscured all along, begins to dissipate; and the knowledge of his last numerous births too automatically dawns upon such a person. How do we progress on the path of moksha? rnWhen one attains the knowledge of the real Self (Self-Realization), the ignorance of ‘who am I’ leaves. This is the main ignorance, due to which one is forced to take birth and rebirth, life after life. To realize ‘Who am I’ actually should be one’s ultimate purpose of human life!rnAll along, we have been holding onto the false beliefs of ‘I am so and so in this birth, was I so and so in the last birth? etc.’ However, to believe one’s Self to be really a Pure Soul marks the beginning onto the path of moksha. Pure Soul never takes birth nor dies; it is eternal. Attaining this eternal is moksha. Do you think such moksha can be ever ignored or down-rated? NEVER! Hence, we must always look forward to attaining knowledge of the real Self and thus fulfill the ultimate purpose of this life. In today’s age, one of the quickest and surest ways to attain the knowledge of the Self is through the scientific process of Akram Vignan, a spiritual science that offers a step-less path to Self-Realization, and that too in just one hour. Upon attaining this knowledge, one begins his journey towards moksha.
