Is Procrastination Stopping You from Attaining Financial Freedom?

Procrastination and worry are a curse that befall many of us. You may not even be aware that you have fallen into this trap because procrastination comes in many guises. I am a very pro-active person. If I told you that I used to procrastinate you would laugh at the idea, if you knew me. You see, I love trading the stock market. I am always active, always thinking up new ideas of making money or creating techniques that may improve one's money luck.
Alas, when it comes to the execution of these ideas I would often freeze, just like a rabbit in the headlights of a motorcar. I would find thousands of reasons why I could not implement the new ideas. Some of the reasons were plausible and some were plain ridiculous. This went on for years until one day I woke up to the game I was playing.
To my great shock and horror I realised that my rather lacklustre results in trading and in many other areas of my life were caused by my pervasive procrastination. Fear of failure, fear of doing the wrong thing and fear of taking responsibility were the main catalysts for this pattern.
I had this rather curious habit of doing all manner of things but the one thing I should be getting on with which would produce the results I was looking for.
Once the realisation hit me of course I was in a position to do something about this rather dire state of affairs. I observed my thought patterns very carefully for early warning signs of the dreaded habit. There are simple techniques you too can learn and use. I have tested them all and have come to the conclusion that by far the best results are achieved by doing little things every day.
When you do a few small things every day you encounter the least amount of resistance from your subconscious mind which is running on auto pilot and probably has a ton of old conditioning which is stopping you from moving ahead. Therefore, it is in your interest to be a little crafty about how you coax your brain into relinquishing those old habits and develop new ones.
Gently, gently catch your monkey, as the saying goes. And yes, believe me it is true. Whether you want to work on getting rid of procrastination or improve your financial situation. do it with little steps, but work on it every day.
