Is spiritual awakening a feeling of joy and love?

First of all, let’s understand what does spiritual awakening of the Soul actually mean.rnWhat does spiritual awakening mean?rnThe Soul (i.e. the Self) has always been in its natural state. However, from time immemorial, one has lived in illusion. This illusion, in turn, has multiplied infinitely. Now, that (the state of illusion) is considered as a state of deep sleep. When one is awakened from this slumber, he becomes aware of the real Self. This spiritual awakening occurs through Gnan (Self-Realization). In Akram Vignan, Gnani makes this awakening during Gnan Vidhi (a one hour Self-Realization ceremony). That awakens the Soul i.e. the Self. Thereafter, the awareness of ‘I am Pure Soul’ will not leave. Slowly, the experience of the Soul continues to increase, and when the experience is absolute, one attains Absolute Knowledge i.e. Keval Gnan!rnGnani, the Enlightened One, explains… rnOne thing we must understand that the experience of the Soul is not like we will see some light, sense some vibrations or feel a lot of happiness, etc. That is not the real experience. Experience of the pure Soul means:rnyou can feel separation with Claudet (please insert your name here); and rnconsequently, you can see the faults of Claudet. rnFor instance, sometimes Claudet may get angry on somebody. Now, after the spiritual awakening, you watch, ‘Oh this is with Claudet. She has become angry on somebody. This is wrong.’ rnIt’s only by Wrong Belief that We remain in Oneness with Claudet.rnReally speaking, by the vision of Gnani, the Pure Soul is always separate from mind, speech, body, the intellect, the ego, everything. But due to wrong belief, we feel that, “I am suffering or I am doing and I am involved.” rnJust like oil and water never mix with each other, the properties of both, oil and water, are such that they are in an unmixable form; similarly here also, the Pure Soul and the matter, both these elements are always totally separate and they do not really mix with each other. It’s only by wrong belief that we remain in oneness with Claudet.rnThere are 4 types of wrong beliefs:rnI am Claudet.rnThis is my body. So with ‘my’ the possessiveness, you are attaching with Claudet.rnI am making food, I am doing job. I am the doer. So, again you are joining with Claudet.rnI am sufferer. Then also, you become one with Claudet. So, by wrong belief, you feel oneness with Claudet and with her mind, thoughts, intellect, speech and behaviour. Whenever Claudet takes a decision, you feel ‘I am taking decision’. If someone insults Claudet, you feel, ‘I have to suffer the insult.’ Your belief is wrong. Due to that wrong belief you are totally involved in Claudet. Here, in ‘Gnanvidhi’ i.e. the spiritual awakening, you get the knowledge of ‘who am I really?’rnHow is Soul attached or involved with the body? by wrong belief. rnAnd by right belief, you are separated from Claudet! In Gnanvidhi, your conviction, meaning your entire belief, gets one hundred percent changed and thus “I am definitely a Pure Soul” becomes an established fact. Gnani says, “By Gnan Vidhi, with the grace of Dada Bhagwan, we are changing the wrong belief to right belief. By right belief, you are separated from Claudet. This is the beginning of the experience of the Pure Soul - say 1 degree of experience. You have to reach 100 degrees. Slowly, as you practice the 5 principles (given by Gnani to enhance the spiritual awareness), your awareness will go on increasing and you will get more experience of Pure Soul.” The spiritual awakening means the destruction of the experience that “I am the body.”rnThe experience of the Soul is the destruction of the experience that “I am the body.” When the experience of “I am this body” goes, new karma cease to bind. What more could one want? We can soon understand what ‘Claudet’ was previously and what is she now. That difference is due to what? It is due to the spiritual awakening of the Soul.
