There are a lot of Android smartphones in the market today and people have come to love them. And why wouldn’t they? Android smartphones have more and better features than other operating systems. It’s also no wonder that a lot of cellular phone companies use the operating system for their products. Samsung, for example, have a number of Android smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Fit, Samsung Galaxy Mini, Samsung Galaxy 5 and most recently, Samsung Galaxy S2 or also known as the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II. The Samsung Galaxy S2 was released April of this year and since then has been making people fuss about it. So maybe you’ve heard all about the newly released smartphone and have been asking yourself what the hullabaloo is all about. Well, here it is: they say that the Samsing Galaxy S2 is the best Android smartphone in the market today. Read on and judge for yourself. At a glance, the touch screen bar phone boasts of the following features: 16/32 gigabyte storage with a microSD slot Android 2.3 operating system An 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, face detection, touch focus and image stabilization, LED flash, and front facing camera Full HD (1080p) video recording at 30 fps Wifi connectivity Bluetooth connectivity Standard micro USB port connectivity 3.55mm audio jack FM radio 4.3” 16M-color WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen, Gorilla Glass Dual-core ARM Cortex A9 1.2 GHz processor, Orion chipset 1 GB RAM Dimensions: 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm, 116 g The first Galaxy S smartphone was a success because of the following: the Super AMOLED screen, the Android OS, the processing power, and the 720p video recording. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is not just a simple upgrade of its predecessor, Samsung added features that the Galaxy S didn’t have: LED flash and an upgraded 8 MP camera. And although Galaxy S2 is 3mm taller and 2mm wider than the original, it is lighter and thinner, being only 8.55mm thick and weighing merely 116 grams. Two applications included in the smartphone are its video and image editors. The image editor enable cropping, image rotation, and adjusting an image’s brightness, contrast, and saturation. It also allows an application of effects in your images. The video editor, on the other hand, allows the arrangement of videos, music, and images in a timeline that lets you create your own movie. The Galaxy S2 makes use of the same TouchWiz music player that’s been used in the Galaxy S. One feature of it lets you search for songs in YouTube or Google. The video player is absolutely amazing as it boasts of supporting 3 crop modes to choose from on how you want your videos to fill the screen. You can also change the font size of your subtitles. The video player plays videos in .WMV, .AVI, .MP4, and .MKV formats. HD and large videos are not a problem either. The Samsung Galaxy S2, with its multi-media features, is surely one of the best, if not the best, Android smartphone out there today.

There are a range of Samsung Galaxy S2 contract offers available now, or you might want to take a look at some of the iPhone 5 contract offerings.
