Are you a snorer or do you sleep with one? Snoring is usually pointed out loudly not by the ones, who snore but by the ones, who try to sleep in the same bed or room. If you snore and live alone and nobody kicks you out from the common bed at night or hits you with a pillow to stop the snore-noise, you may still want to read this article, as snoring is a symptom you probably want to do something about.

Overweight and Snoring

There is a strong relationship between body fat and snoring. Fat around the chest area compresses the ribcage area, and fat around the belly pushes the diaphragm up; both of them result in shrinking the size of the lungs, which restricts the airflow. And men are more likely to snore because of their fat distribution mainly concentrated around the belly. Also, extra fat surrounding the neck, keep pressing and blocking the airway.

Quick Snoring Cure

Losing fat and living a healthy lifestyle is a long term solution but there are quick solutions you try to have a better sleep and ensuring your loved ones sleep better too.
  • Sleeping on your back also causes you to snore, so try sleeping on your side.
  • Avoid alcohol before going to bed because it relaxes the throat muscles and increases the risk of this unwanted problem.
  • You can use some effective anti-snore tools like anti snore sprays, throat strips, nasal sprays, nose strips, anti-snoring braces, tongue stabilizers, anti-snoring pillows, or anti-snoring mouthpieces. As you can see, there are many snoring aids available on the market. Choose the one that suits you the most and enjoy your sleep.
  • Consider changing your pillow. The pillow should be very well chosen for your comfort.
