A recent survey has revealed the shocking consequences of what can happen if no SEO or pay per click duties is carried out on a website.

Would it surprise you to know that nearly half of all UK websites are completely devoid of visitors? It’s a shocking figure, but it is one that has been revealed in a survey that was done recently. It means that there are countless different and diverse UK companies online today that simply aren’t getting any visitors at all.

It could be such a different picture though, particularly as search engine optimisation can bring many visitors to a website organically if it is done right. Similarly pay per click – another area that many businesses do not focus on – can be one of the best ways to ensure that paid adverts bring in a fresh swathe of visitors.

Most people will recognise the value and importance of optimising their website in the proper manner. Some may even know how to do it in the best way. But plenty of others clearly do not have even the slightest idea of how to optimise their website for the best search terms that will bring actual qualified traffic.

It is perhaps more understandable that many webmasters have not yet delved into the possibilities offered by pay per click marketing. There are definitely plenty of scare stories out there that tell of people who lost lots of money on this form of marketing, getting nothing from it in return. But you can almost always look deeper to see that the person who lost the money did not have the required knowledge to make PPC work for them. As we can see, it is superbly easy to go wrong when promoting your website if you don’t have expert knowledge to help you.

Fortunately those companies that are receiving no visits at all to their websites can do something about it. It is fairly easy to turn any website around when it is performing poorly. The trick is to know how to do it. If you don’t have the knowledge to do it yourself you should consider hiring an SEO company to help you out. Most good companies will be able to focus on both the organic search engine optimisation and the PPC needs your company will have. Not only does it take the pressure off you and your business, it also opens the floodgates to start bringing in a trickle of traffic to build on.

It does seem a shame that so many websites in the UK don’t see any visitors. Even the most basic SEO requirements can be met fairly easily with some basic research into search engine optimisation. Unfortunately some people still believe that all they have to do is build a website and they will automatically receive visitors. Some know this is not the case, but they haven’t made the connection with receiving help from the likes of a good SEO Company. Perhaps now is the time to do so?
