It all depends on what emotions are available to you

Last month we discussed the various ways that energy is flowing within you and how the energy of one person affects the energy of another. In this issue we will discuss how the flow of energy within us allows for certain emotions to be felt... or not. The flow of energy supports us living within a certain mood and not others. Our emotions and moods predispose us to certain actions and so each emotion or mood allows us to take certain actions and not others. Let's explore an example from an article I wrote last summer. I discovered at that time that I was living in a mood or resignation around a contractual relationship with an organization.

We often are surprised by the mood we discover as we live within it and have to observe ourselves to discover it. Resignation is supported by a flow of energy forward and down. It is stability and groundedness (*Earth Energy) to the nth degree. It is a place where I believe there are no possibilities and "it is the way it is, and will always be". From that mood I am not predisposed to taking much action as I am in a place where I believe "it" can't be changed. If I decide this is not serving me or those around me, I first must recognize where I am... and then choose where I desire to be. If I choose a mood of acceptance I can support that by shifting my body to openness (*Air Energy) by shifting my energy back and down where acceptance lives. Or if I choose a mood of Ambition, I can choose to shift my energy forward and up to a place of resolution (*Fire Energy) where focus, action, and a feeling of "I know the way" lives. Finally if I choose a mood of curiosity, then I can shift my energy back and up to a place of flexibility (*Air Energy) where wonder lives.

So, it "all depends". It all depends on what mood would support me by predisposing me to actions not available from another place or flow of energy. It all depends on what I believe will better serve me and those around me. It all depends on knowing I have a choice and then taking it.

We do have a choice and the decision to shift and to where... all depends on the possibilities we want to open ourselves to so we can have a new choice of actions for the results we desire.
