After much hype, Jessica Simpson has finally revealed her post-pregnancy body, and damn, she is looking hot! The new mom, who was one of the guests that visited Katie Couric on the premiere, showed off her post-baby body in an all-black ensemble, and talked about her struggle to shed her fat after giving birth to her baby girl, Maxwell Drew. “During pregnancy, I didn’t really think about it,” she said. “I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down but that did not happen. All the weight did not come out with the baby!” She continued:”I’ve had to really stay focused on my diet and really concentrate on what I’m putting in my body”. “[It's] definitely a challenge,” the singer confessed. “I put on more baby weight than I was planning on putting on.” Earlier this year, the 5’4″ Jessica Simpson signed a deal worth millions to become celebrity face of Weight Watchers. And so far so good. Jessica's first television appearance drew a lot of attention when she showed off her weight loss results on Katie Couric's new talk show "Katie" Monday. According to ABC, the singer said she weighed 170 pounds when she posed nude and pregnant for the cover of Elle magazine in April and has since lost more than 40 pounds. And now, she is only 10 pounds from her goal weight. “I set small goals for myself. I've lost weight every week, thank God, but I've worked really hard. I have to shoot a new season of Fashion Star,” she went on to explain. She also said she tries to “avoid” the media coverage about her weight, saying "I definitely don't pick up the magazines. I definitely don't Google my name.”. However, it seems that Jess has clearly gained back some of her self-confidence and is on the right path to losing even more weight. The “Irresistible” hitmaker certainly seemed to have a little more pep in her step and should feel good about what she has accomplished so far. Some might not be impressed with her post baby figure, but others will definitely recognize how hard it is to lose the weight after a baby or anytime, for that matter. So, what do you think of Jessica Simpson’s new post-baby figure? It certainly doesn’t compete with other celeb moms, but it does send a clear message that being famous and rich is not the key to losing the baby weight. It sure takes a lot of hard work and dedication to succeeed.
