Since Jews had started deviating from the teachings of their Prophet Musa (PBUH) and the virtuous path, Allah presented Prophet Isaa with Prophethood. He was sent to the children and descendants with the message of Allah.rnLike all other Prophets, he also had to endure hardships and trials while conveying the message of Allah. Despite the incredible struggle and efforts on part of the Prophet, the people did not accept the message of Allah. rnTherefore, judging that the poor and weak people would accept the teachings of Allah, the Jews created a plan to kill the Prophet. However, there is no deity greater than Allah and He saved Prophet Isa (PBUH) by lifting him alive to the heavens. rnAllah says in the Quran, "They did not kill him and nor did they crucify him but the resemblance of him (Jesus Peace be upon him) was put over another man and those who differ there in, are in doubt. They have no certain knowledge. They are following nothing but conjecture for surely they did not kill him but Allah raised him up to him." (Surah Nisa)rnAllah also says in the Quran, "When Allah says, Jesus; I will take thee to me and I will purify thee of the unbelievers." (Surah A'li-Imran)rnReturn of JesusrnThe verses mentioned above show that Jesus was raised alive and that he is still alive in the heavens. The most authentic and pure source of Islamic teachings, the Holy Quran provides evidence that Jesus will return before the Day of Judgment or Qiyamah. This is also considered a major sign of the arrival of the Day of Judgment.rnAllah says to His people in the Holy Quran, "And he (son of Mary) shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the hour." (Surah Zukhruf)rnAccording to a Hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "A party of my followers will not cease to fight for victory until the Day of Resurrection. Then Jesus, son of Mary, will come down. Their Imaam will say, "Come and lead our prayer" He will reply, "Some of you are rulers over others on account of divine honour upon these people." (Muslim)rnThe Prophet (PBUH) also said, "By the one whose hands my life is in, surely the son of Maryam (Peace upon her) will descend amongst you as a just ruler. He will destroy the cross, kill the swine and abolish the tax." (Bukhari)rnThe Tasks of JesusrnUpon his return, Jesus will perform three main tasks. These tasks are mentioned below.rn1. The killing of Dajjalrn2. Protection of Muslims from Yajuj Majuj. These will be a barbarous tribe and Muslims will be protected from them by taking them to Mount Tur and praying to Allah for the destruction and abolishment of Yajuj Majuj. rn3. The third important task will be to rule the Muslims as a Caliph and promote the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. The purpose of this task will be to increase and elevate Islam.rnConclusionrnIt is important for all Muslims to know about these incidents that will take place in the future. This can only be done if the Quran teacher of Muslim children teaches them all the important teachings of Quran and Sunnah.
