If you’re like most of us, you’ve tried dieting, you’ve tried low-carb, you’ve tried low-fat, you’ve tried counting calories, and maybe some of those things worked, but they really didn’t work long term did they? The reason they didn’t work for very long is because we really can’t do those things every day for the rest of our lives.
Today we’re going to talk about 3 really simple weight loss tips you can use every single day as part of a healthy lifestyle. By the way, if you do ANY of these things, you’re going to lose weight. The more of them you use, the faster the weight is going to come off.
1. THE RULE OF HALVES: The rule of halves means that you can eat the same foods you already eat (within reason of course), just eat half of your normal portions. Try eating your cereal in a coffee cup instead of a bowl; only pack half a sandwich for lunch instead of the whole thing; share dinner with someone if you eat out; the list goes on and on. The great part of the rule of halves is that you can do it for any meal, at any time, no matter what you’re eating and you’re never going to feel like you’re depriving yourself.
2. EAT DINNER ON A SALAD PLATE: Here’s why this works: scientists figured out that 80% of us will finish all of the food on our plates if it’s sitting in front of us. So if we cut back on the amount of food on our plate, we’re going to be less likely to eat as much.
3. DRINK HALF YOUR BODY WEIGHT IN WATER: Before you panic, I know that’s a lot of water. But the fact remains that we need to drink at least ½ gallon of water (64 ounces) every single day for our bodies to just function normally. Not only that but without water, our bodies are practically incapable of metabolizing and burning fat.
Sometimes the hardest things are the simplest. Try these simple tips every day for the next 30 days and weight loss is virtually guaranteed.
