War – is an armed conflict between different nations. However, why war is fought? A friend was saying yesterday that all battalion officers have very conservative thinking. And I replied him back that that is the first reason why war takes place in the first place. If officers were not having conservative thinking they might not involve their country in any sort of war.
Thinking back on my answer, I still agree to what I said. Because it’s the conservative thinking that brings destruction to people. As the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility. And that responsibility is to think rationally, to think about social interest rather that own interest. And if we start to think about social interest than no one in the world will want war, not even our own countrymen.
I was looking at some pictures of War in Iraq today. It has been 10years since that war started. But looking back at those pictures tell us, what we won? Was the occupation successful? Were we lucky in getting all the anarchy and chaos to an end? And when I ask these questions to myself, there is only one answer that comes to my mind. And that answer labels a ‘big NO’.
Then why we fought the war in the first place? Was the war really that legitimate to be fought? Wish I had some kind of answer, because according to the documents released by American and British agencies the Atomic weapons that were the root cause of war in Iraq were never found.
On the other hand the war brought agony; pain not only to marines, left them psychologically ill but also devastated, and destructed the whole lands of Iraq. If the cause was to topple the government of Iraq then we succeeded, but what we bring in response? An occupation of the land and a puppet regime of democracy that has not got the full control of country till now! And is politically unstable, also known as the banana republic.
Just like these wars there are companies at war, different companies like apple & HP & Microsoft are at war with each other to get the number one place in the world. Countries also try and do the same thing.
