The festival of women back again, but it is for the welfare and longevity of their husbands. This festival is very popular in North India. Since the years it is the festival of married women only, but as India changing the trend changing too and now unmarried girls are too doing it for their future husbands. Doesn’t matter what happens later, but the fest shows the true love, believe and care of a women for her husband. Married woman start their fast at dawn and do not eat or drink anything during the whole day. The fest ends when the moon rises at night. The dear lady breaks the fast on seeing the moon and takes the first crunch of the day from his lovely husband’s hands to break the fast. All this signifies extreme love and devotion of a wife for her husband. It is evident from her willingness to suffer for his well being. Things are changing so the fest is changing too. Now days when the people are too busy they try to take time for the dear one. But when husbands and wife are living in distant locations and busy with their profession and business, they do not get time to meet on the same day. But the true love is still there. They follow the tradition over phone, through internet or even video conferences. They do not meet but they do not forget to share their love and faith for each other. Even some crazy people do not care anything and come back by taking flights to India to meet there wife or the beloved one. They do not forget to share the pictures and videos of the day. Even they share it with the entire world through video sharing and image sharing platforms. The popularity, love and faith is quite visible when some NRIs paid high amount to book flights to Delhi and Mumbai region to meet their wife only, as recently heard. This is the real charm of Karwa Chauth. Love, Love and only Love. Things have changed now and so celebration of this festival. But true love and faith is still there, despite of the busy lifestyle and distance from each other. They show the love, they share feeling, they make promises and they thanks the God. Karwa Chauth will never lose its grace among modern and traditional people in India.
