Keep Those Lines Open

If there is anything more important than clear and concise communication when it comes to starting or implementing any sort of initiative, then it is at least a close second. And in fact, there probably isn't anything more important. Without clear communication and precise and concise instructions, the project is destined to fail. And if it doesn't fail, then it is going to be much harder than it really should be. The point is this, if you don't have a plan and don't communicate that plan to everybody involved, then you are going to have a hard time getting anything done. And getting things done is not going to be easy, it is going to take a lot of work and take a lot of people working on the problem to get it knocked out. It is going to take a lot of work, and a lot of cooperation to get it done. Nobody has a very good chance of getting things accomplished like this if there isn't a team in place and a whole lot of individuals working together. That's why having a team of individuals that know what needs to get done and how they are planning on getting it done so important. A plan is important, but a good team is just as important. So the communication between the members of the team is very important to keep things moving along smoothly, but they also need to be able to keep the communication open with all of the men and women that are going to be affected by the changes. Because these are the people that you're going to have to convince that the change is a good one. No, they aren't the ones making the decisions, those are in the offices upstairs, but they are the individuals that are going to be needed to put the things in place. They are the ones that have to believe that the changes are going to work, that the changes are for the better and it is very important put all the effort needed into making the changes real. Because even if you have the best team assembled around you, this is the team that you're really going to need to help you. So it's a great idea to keep them informed and involved in what is going on during the changes and implementation period.
