Just because one date worked really well for you doesn’t mean that you can continue to relive that date over and over with every new person you meet rather than thinking of something else to do, for example. You will eventually have to get out of your comfort zone, because that’s what dating is all about. Like it or not, you will always have to deal with jitters and nervousness at certain times when you are dating someone new.

Any couple will tell you that the one of the biggest keys to continued success in a relationship is to keep things fresh. You may think that you don’t need to be concerned with such things because you are dating rather than participating in a long term relationship, but you still have to keep this in perspective. After all, if you never adjust your dating approach for the new people that you meet, your dates will notice, even if they haven’t dated you for long.
Each new person that you date should make for an entirely new experience, meaning that you can’t just fall back into your old patterns, whether they involve SMS chat, phone dating, or going to the same old restaurant again and again. SMS chat and other types of texting are also not to be abused. Many people get so into communicating via text messages that they almost forget how to interact normally through in-person interaction or even phone dating experiences. Just as with anything else, you need to stay sharp with your communication skills, which is hard to do if you use texting as a crutch of sorts.
