The early signs of pregnancy are different for every woman, and for every pregnancy as well. The most obvious sign of pregnancy for most women is a missed period, although this can take 4 weeks to discover. Especially if a couple is actively trying to conceive, a woman may be eagerly looking for other signs of pregnancy as early as possible. It is important to keep in mind that when we want something very badly, our brain can trick us into seeing symptoms that aren’t there at all, or cause us to think we have symptoms that aren’t actually present. Here are some other early signs of pregnancy: Implantation bleeding sometimes occurs. Since it can be accompanied with cramps, some women accidentally interpret this as a light period. It is actually the result of the embryo implanting itself on the uterine wall. Some women feel swelling or tenderness in their breasts. Others experience extreme fatigue. Both of these signs of pregnancy can occur as early as two weeks after conception, well before you would notice a missed menstrual cycle. Aches and pains in the head or back can also be common, even very early. Your body is going through some major changes. Many women experience the infamous “morning sickness,” even though it may be more like “afternoon sickness,” “evening sickness,” or “all-day-long-sickness.” This may occur as early as two weeks after conception. It can include vomiting, a sour feeling in the stomach, and an extreme aversion to some smells and foods. Some women find themselves unable to be around fatty, greasy foods or alcohol, which is nature’s way of preparing her to eat better during her pregnancy. As the first few months pass, there will be more signs of pregnancy. Your breasts, especially the areolas (the dark area around the nipples) will change color and grow larger. You may find yourself running to the bathroom constantly, as the extra pressure of the growing fetus on your bladder causes you to need to urinate frequently. Another famous sign of pregnancy is food cravings. Some women experience strong cravings for particular foods, while some have no cravings at all. For some women, the cravings are just for certain flavors, such as sweet or salty, while some women have the stereotypical cravings for bizarre combinations of foods such as pickles and ice cream. If you suspect you may be pregnant, you should not rely on these signs of pregnancy to tell you the answer. A missed period is the best sign, which can be confirmed by a home pregnancy test. If you think are you pregnant, try to avoid alcohol, smoking or taking any drugs. Talk to a doctor and take good care of yourself. nnFor more information on Signs Of Pregnancy visit the VideoJug website. n
