Stress May Be Making You Sick! 90% of all illness in our fast paced society is stress induced. Stress and its armoring begin to feel normal in your body, and the cumulative effects bring chronic illness when not properly released. Everyone has stress, the key is learning effective tools to manage stress. Our retreats include five stepts that empower you to manage stress, and bring your body/mind/and spirit back to health.
1. Learn to say no. If you are tired learn to walk away and take a break. This can be as little as 15 minutes, or as much a full week. If you are stressed you are not able to be productive. Taking a break and then returning to the project refreshed can bring about more successful results. A spiritual retreat can release stress and recapture inner peace.
2. Breathe. You probably are thinking that everyone does who is alive. This is true, yet 95% of society practices shallow breathing. Shallow breathing is responsible for 98% of all disease and stress related illness. Post signs in your office, in your car and at home and remind your self to breathe deeply.
3. Commit to exercise. Determine an exercise routine you enjoy and schedule time for it. In the beginning you won’t enjoy it but keep going. It takes 21 days to create a habit, and then you will love how you feel.
4. Create a healthy eating program. Your eating is based on habits. Habits don’t always serve you. Decide to change your habits to support your health. Your health is your greatest asset. Once it is diminished it takes a lot of time, energy, and money to regain your health.
5. Decide to be happy. Happiness is a choice. If you have not been conditioned to be happy, it will take time, commitment, and conscious awareness to change. Commitment, dedication, and determination will give you the strength to embrace change and create a happy life.
