When you have a bed bug infestation, you want the bugs dead and gone. Period. Whatever will kill them in the most effective, most efficient way possible – that is the treatment for you. It is only natural that you want a bed bug killer and you want it now. However extreme that statement may sound, it is fairly reflective of the reaction that most people have when they discover a bed bug problem in their homes. Some products on the market for the removal of bed bugs call themselves a repellent. It is something of a misnomer since there really is no such thing as a bed bug repellent. Besides, when you find a bed bug in your home, you really are not interested in merely making sure that it does not come into contact with your bed so long as you have sprayed it with a certain spray, you want the bug gone – for good. It may merely be a matter of semantics as to whether you want a bed bug repellent or a bed bug killer, but the reality is that you want the bed bug problem to be done and over with. The most effective way to make that happen is to use a natural product. At first, it may seem as though you want to douse every area of your home with the most toxic of pesticides known to humankind and then to repeat the process for good measure. As tempting as this prospect is, it is not the best solution. In fact, it has been the overuse of chemical pesticides that has led to the recent resurgence of bed bugs in the first place. The current bed bug population is highly resistant to chemical pesticides thanks to their overuse in past generations. Not only will excessive use of toxic chemicals in your home not prove to be as effective as more natural means, but it will also increase the resistance of the bug in the future. A natural bug killer/repellent will be much more successful in eradicating the bed bug inhabitants of your home and it will be safer for you, your family, and your pets. Resist the urge to soak every available square inch of your residence with the most toxic products available and turn instead to a natural bed bug killer/repellent. After utilizing a natural spray, you might also consider applying a natural bug repellent/killer in powder form that can continue to offer bed bug control by treating any bug that might come from already present eggs following the initial treatment. By keeping a cool head and using all-natural products, you can eradicate your bed bug infestation and keep your home and the environment safe from harmful pesticides.
