"FEELINGS, TENTATIVELY TOSSED, CAN BARELY SCALE THE WALLS OF OUR SELF-IMPRISONING FEARS. WHEN WE RECOGNIZE OUR DIVINE NATURE, OUR SPIRIT SOARS OVER OBSOLETE WALLS. FREE, THEN TO LOVE OURSELVES, WE CAN LOVINGLY EMBRACE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCES." — Chelle Thompson ©2003 Inspiration Line
"Human beings seldom step outside of themselves to really grasp the needs of others. We often project our own thoughts and beliefs upon strangers, and make judgments based upon how we think they 'should' be living their lives. If only we could experience a few moments inside the heart of another person, the world would be a much more compassionate and benevolent place." — Chelle Thompson Inspiration Line 12/25/06
"Just a simple gesture of kindness — what possible difference could it make? Ah, there lies the mystery and the magic! Do we only give because we want an ego boost from knowing we 'did good,' or only when we get tangible proof that our gift will be put to 'proper' use? The beauty of unconditional kindness is that we may NEVER know." —Chelle Thompson Inspiration Line 8/28/06
"Chance encounters often create magical opportunities for joy, understanding and personal growth. The key here is to stay open ... for even the most powerful sunbeam cannot pierce a wall of stone." — Chelle Thompson © 2005 Inspiration Line
"It's important to give without expecting anything in return, rather than keeping a tally of whom we've helped and who has helped us. Silence and service go hand in hand. Random acts of kindness, particularly those anonymously accomplished, reflect a healthy non-attachment to deed or outcome." — Chelle Thompson Inspiration Line 12/20/04
"We never know when some small kindness will forever make a difference in the lives of total strangers. Continuously performing good deeds ... even without recognition ... will create a trail of miracles in our wake." — Chelle Thompson Inspiration Line 6/7/04
"A problem often arises when we try to love our neighbor as we love OURSELVES ... Oops, no wonder we can sometimes treat others with so little kindness and compassion." — Chelle Thompson ©2003 Inspiration Line

Here's the Good News About Life: IT IS ALL GOOD
As we become more aware and attuned to the multi-dimensional nature of both the Universe and OURSELVES, we create many opportunities for growth. An important aspect of growth is honoring the many facets of who we are. We cannot "hang out in the ethers" to escape Earthly events, nor can we deny that we are "spiritual beings having a human experience." Most of my early life I operated as a warrior who marched into situations braced by the armor of my convictions. Though this served me well in the past, I've learned that it is no longer necessary, or even desirable.

CREATIVE WAYS TO DEAL WITH ADVERSITY
It's important, I find, to recall and re-use old tools that have proven helpful in difficult situations in the past. Sometimes we think we've moved so far forward that a "Been there, done that!" attitude clouds our memory and limits our options. Fear is an ongoing challenge in this world so we need all the assistance we can muster.

PAYING ATTENTION TO THE COSMIC TUMBLERS
In the movie ‘Field of Dreams,” Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) quotes author Terence Mann (James Earl Jones ) as saying: “There comes a time when all the cosmic tumblers have clicked into place — and the universe opens itself up for a few seconds to show you what’s possible.” In the film, Terence Mann also laments the tragic fact that most folks aren't even aware of that opening when it occurs, so they never walk through the doors that will lead them into their life's potential.

Toxic People or Situation? LEAVE IT IN THE 'MYSTERY'
All of us will encounter toxic individuals and circumstances in our lives at one time or another. During those experiences we need to use whatever helpful tools we can find to stay balanced and clear about "who we are." One of the methods I use to maintain perspective is to create a "healthy level of detachment." Healthy, because I still have my heart engaged, but am detached enough not to be running amuck in an emotional minefield.
