Lyengar & Ashtanga yoga The Lyengar type is actually based on the teachings of B.K.S Igengar and is focused on correct form and alignment of the body. This form is different from other forms in the way that one is required to continue a single pose for longer minutes rather than moving to the next pose quickly. As far as Ashtanga type is concerned, this is the form which is practiced on regular basis and is a bit physically demanding. Power yoga is another type which is based on Ashtanga type. Thus, considering the benefits of Hatha yoga and other major types in Langley, one can think more on not sticking to one type.
