Drug addicts are more vulnerable to HIV infection because they share needles when injecting drugs in their body. You can see drug addicts are usually HIV infected and they spread infections to others with whom they make physical contacts.

How do you get AIDS? If asked this question, you would reply by making unsafe sexual relations with HIV infected person. The answer is right but this is not the only reason of spreading HIV-AIDS. Physical contact is one the reasons behind the spread of this deadly virus. HIV virus spreads with direct contact and for this reason people are advised to take precautions when making physical contacts.

You should know that saliva, urine and sweat too carry HIV virus but they are not harmful. HIV virus in saliva etc. is not too strong to infect strong to spread infection therefore shaking hands with an infected person, hugging the HIV-AIDS patients and even nursing infected persons don’t spread HIV virus.

rnHow do you get AIDS? Another reason for people getting HIV infection is sharing needle with an infected person. It happens in hospitals and blood donation camps. For instance take a blood donation camp where hundreds of people have turned up for a noble cause. They donate blood to save others but the blood donors might get infected from needles. It is the responsibility of the medical attendants to make sure that they don’t accept blood from HIV infected persons but human errors are always expected.

Cases of newborn infected with HIV virus are on the rise and it shows negligence on the part of women. If a HIV positive woman happens to give birth to a healthy child then she should avoid breastfeeding because breast milk might carry HIV virus to the baby’s body.

How do you get AIDS? You need to educate yourself about the causes of HIV infection so that you could prevent yourself from being infected. When it comes to curing AIDS, prevention is the only cure. Once infected by HIV virus, you have to suffer and die a premature death.
