A fence as we all understand is a boundary marker for any property. It is build to keep the small children and pets safe within the yard and to keep out any unwanted intruder. Basically fences are the barrier which is used to keep things inside as well as outside.
Fences are used to define a boundary of a location and even to beautify the décor of the place. They are erected to provide privacy and security from outsiders. Cat or dog owners put up cat fence so that their pets do not go out of the yard. They are used in agriculture to keep the livestock in and the predators out of the field. Cordons are mandatory for places like military areas, airfields, high security zones etc to keep unauthorized personnel away. There are various types of fence available for different purposes ranging from durability to prices.
The timber ones are quite popular and inexpensive. They are also environment friendly. Modern houses usually have cement or brick walls. The vinyl fencing (PVC) is maintenance free and has a longer shelf life. Wood or stonewall looks very attractive and gives a feel of old world charm. Picket fences are very common and now available in different colors. Rail barriers often have a mesh wire combined with it to keep animals either in or out.
Chain link railings are coated with galvanized zinc to protect it from rusting. The wider the wire netting post the stronger it will be. Mesh ones are made of light wires to keep the livestock in the area. Pet fences like cat fence are used to keep the pet inside the boundary area. Balustrades are metal railings placed around balconies and staircases.
Electric fence is used in high security areas with Cactus wires that are built with metal thorns. Iron barrier can be put up in any residential, commercial or industrial area. They are also called ornamental fences. Similarly aluminum ones can also be used instead of iron made ones and are more durable, need little or no maintenance and come in many styles and colors.
