What does it mean to know you? To truly know you is to love yourself. The perception of who you are brings you into an accord with the universe, which leads to a fulfilled and happy life.
Knowing yourself does not mean you intellectually understand everything about yourself. All creation is a mystery to be sought after and you are no exception. To know yourself is to give yourself over to the discovery fearlessly, without reservation allowing for the greatness in you to unfold.
We accomplish much more when we factor in all aspects of our being, the intellectual, spiritual and physical in a coordinated way. Intellectual knowledge alone could produce a blind acceptance. We become more insightful and introspective when we test life through personal experience. We can trust our experience, follow our own instincts and uncover our individuality and true nature.
Knowing yourself is a life long journey and requires conscious effort. Through your experiences and knowledge you build a map that leads you to a happy, abundant life. Your emotions and insights are tools for making necessary corrections. Through intellectual studies, physical activities and interaction with others, new impressions are created. Awareness of these new inspirations is the way we discover ourselves.
Getting out in nature and meditating is an aid in discovering oneself. The tranquility of a natural setting induces an opening up of your internal nature. When we slow down and envision our goals, our inner voice tells us if we are truly happy. If you find yourself discontent or aspiring to something greater during introspection you may need to reevaluate and change direction.
We are happiest when we are doing things that utilize and reveal our natural talents. Understanding the gifts we bring into the world enables us to make wise decisions conce
ing career choices. What we offer the world is revealed through our natural talents. Self-fulfillment is achieved in finding our purpose in life.
Finding your purpose gives life direction. Think of purpose as the ultimate goal in which all other aspirations are leading. As you experience life all your beliefs, ethics, actions, emotions and thoughts are directing you towards that purpose. To know yourself is to be aware of that propelling force, to understand and fulfill your true potential.
Knowing yourself empowers you to make wise decisions in choosing a career, a mate, where to live, choices that offer better opportunity for happiness. Reflect upon your life daily. Are you going in a direction that gives you joy and a sense of fulfillment? Are you happy? Do you wake up in the morning excited to start the new day?
If you find yourself discontent or unsure of whom you really are you can find self-awareness coaching programs with exercises to aid you. Do an online search with the terms 'self-awareness' or 'know yourself'. Knowing yourself requires effort but the reward for understanding yourself and living your purpose is an abundant, fulfilled and happy life.
