KNOWING THE THREE MAJOR HUMAN EMOTIONS

As a human being, it is but normal to experience various kinds of emotions. When a person has grown, the tendency to respond to everything that happens in the emotional facet is irresistible. A person is a subject to his or her emotions and these emotions have been grouped into three major categories; fear, anger and grief. People have the propensity to be subjected to either of these emotions as a reference point to react to new gen. Consequently, people have been grouped into three categories as well; “fear-based”, “anger-based” and “grief-based”.rnA person who is fear-based has the inclination to react with fear to anything that happens. Take for example this student who gets a B in class. His initial respond upon seeing that he didn’t get an A is that he fears he would fail. His fear triggered his emotions to anticipate the worst thing to happen. He becomes emotionally down as he feels he is not good enough. A situation that appears to be an average makes him feel that the next step downward is failing. rnA person who is anger-based flares –up immediately as a reaction to a new gen. have you ever observed how some kids vent out when their parents tell them it’s time to turn-off the TV? Most children react this way perhaps because it is part of their tantrums. However, this attitude may seem harmless but eventually, these responses may form a habit and it may be hard to control in the future.rnAnd lastly, a person who is grief-based retorts to situations influenced with a feeling of loss that something may not regained or recovered and consequently, feeling that the loss may again occur. Take for instance this individual who has been making important plans on the weekend only to oversleep that day. When he woke up, he discovered that he had slept in and failed to carry out his plan for the day. He felt a deep sense of grief and regret for all those hours that he could never recover because it had already gone by. rnThere is, on the other hand a direct opposite to these emotions. Although they appear to be antagonistic, something good can come out of them. Fear, anger and grief have one thing in common, they have the same core and this is “desire”. Should these desires unmet, these emotions cast a dark shadow on the person. This is when you emerge from this shadow and shed some light on it by taking over your emotions. Take let-downs as a challenge to do better and with your school performance, for children to thank their parents for the leisure time. And you may miss the outdoor excitement, but at least you have given yourself the rest that it needed that you couldn’t get any other day.
