A connection between regular exercise and world peace can be made. Really. People who work out consistently contribute physically, emotionally and spiritually to their surroundings. Endorphins or “happy hormones” get released after a good workout session and that keeps the cortisol or stress hormone level low. A sound mind in a sound body not only relieves everyday pressure on the individual, but also can reduce chronic stress levels for hard working people, and chronic diseases for sedentary types. Collectively speaking, the more people participate in regular exercise, the more the general mood of a society shifts to something more positive. Chronic Diseases and Exercise Solutions: The heart is designed to work just as well under stress, as it does at rest. The cardiac muscles however, require ample cardiovascular activity to stay strong. People who sit idle throughout their workday are more susceptible to chronic heart diseases and other health issues. So it’s imperative to incorporate basic exercise during the day. Walk quickly. Climb stairs. Lift weights. Jog slowly. All these activities can help prevent serious health problems that require overtaxing the body further with powerful chemicals and medicines. Type 2 Diabetes is another common health issue sedentary individuals face. Maintenance of a stable blood sugar level is critical to overall health. Exercise actually makes a person’s insulin more effective. Insulin resistance goes down during exercise and the body’s cells can use the glucose more effectively. Asthma patients can steadily improve their lung capacity by gradually building stamina through exercise. Light to moderate physical activities with proper medical advice can be helpful. Yoga has proven to be an exercise well suited to people who suffer from asthma. Lower back pain is attributed to poor posture and immobility, resulting in stiffness and pain in the lumbar chain of the spinal cord. An orthopedic pillow is a prudent investment that can remove back and neck pain. Certain lifts with weights can also increase lower back endurance and strength if done correctly and under supervision. rnArthritis is common in old people, women, and even children nowadays. Studies show that immobile joints and prolonged inactivity have a profound effect on the Central Nervous System (CNS). To prevent the crippling effects of Arthritis, it’s imperative to stay active. Get outside and embrace nature. Walk for a few miles briskly and incorporate moderate stretching every day. Simple Ways to become healthy Everyone from adolescents to seniors can also follow a strength-training program in addition to cardiovascular work if they intend to achieve their fitness goals fast. Exercises that incorporate squats, deadlifts, overhead presses and rows help tone the body, remove excess fat, and build stronger bones and connective tissue. The work a person puts in to a healthy lifestyle does not just benefit the individual. One person’s wellness program has a positive effect on family, loved ones and society too! A healthy life breeds a healthy outlook, which can change the world for the better. Really.

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off.
