Language Based Learning Disabilities

Language acquisition is a function of complex cognitive processes. People who struggle with age-appropriate writing/reading or speaking in a language, can be said to have a Language Based Learning Disability i.e. LBLD. LBLD can negatively affect a student’s school experience as most curriculum-based study is closely related to language comprehension. There are certain indicators to LBLD, these are-  Difficulty following written/oral instruction.  Struggling with sound production.  Difficulty in recalling words.  Confusing between letters when writing/reading.  Problem telling time.  Struggling with sentence creation.  Being unable to differentiate between left and right.  Not being able to sustain eye contact.  Not being able to express themselves clearly.  Struggling with learning new vocabulary.
