After getting selected the candidates are placed in a training schedule on whose completion they become the secretaries and the top ranking officers administering the affairs of the country. This is indeed feared as the toughest competitive examination in India and people aspiring to be future bureaucrats should start preparing for the exam as it requires you to burn the midnight oil to be able to be in the reckoning.
