Lots of changes have been observed in the internet marketing domain in the past few months. The day is not far off when the way people locate business information and distribute it will also change. Earlier, having a quality website, a website with Google Page #1 one rankings or a website with good search engine optimization was enough to take the business to the next level. But today the situation has undergone a drastic change. Let us discuss in detail about these changes. SoLoMo internet marketing A good search engine optimized website is not enough to make a strong web presence. What will matter today is SoLoMo. Most of us might not be aware of this term. SoLoMo refers to the Social, Local and Mobile presence of your business on internet platforms. SoLoMo internet marketing has been grabbing a huge attention these days. Quality content We all are aware of the fact that quality of content is the basis of a powerful internet marketing plan. It is all about what customers are actually searching for, what exactly search engines want and what is distributed on various platforms. There are many poor quality content farms that flood the internet with rubbish content and spam. These farms produce substandard information that is of little or no use for the customers. But now Google is breaking down such farms. Moreover, it has introduced chrome extension spam blockers to block such sites. Local searches and local directories Local searches make up about 20% of internet searches. But with an excessive rise in the sales of mobile devices, the percentage is increasing. As per a recent study, about 53% of mobile searches have a local purpose. Information of mobile devices is drawn from local directories. This means local directories have become a good resource of business listings, maps, videos, business reviews, business images and web links. Google has started pushing local search by increasing use of Google Places, Google Maps, etc. Extensive use of Social media networks In the past few years, a majority of people have turned to social media networks for deriving more and more information. In other words, almost each effectual marketing agenda today involves social media integration. Google today has started including social network information in the search results from various social networking sites like Flickr, blogger and twitter. This is an essential step in the direction to have a tailored search experience. Now the search results will be individualized as per their search terms, social media networks and their location. These are some of the major changes in internet marketing.
