Isn't the onset of engineering amazing? A hundred years ago the telephone was only just starting to roll out across the world. Even then, although it had been in progress for 50 year it was only in 1915 that the first coast to coast telephone line in the US was inaugurated. Even then it took a while for the telephone to become and integrated unit with a hand held earpiece and receiver in one.

It was at the same time that radio was still being used erratically, the Titanic sunk in 1912 in sight of other ships in easy range of additional ships but whose radio operators had already closed down for the night and who idea the Titanic was having a fireworks display. throughout the first war there was no application of radios on the front line and in aircraft.

Television only got going properly in the 50's and even then they were minute monochrome screens. Mobile phones are almost universal and that means one can instantly contact somebody anywhere. That revolutionary expansion from the initial cellular phones that were the size of a construction brick to the modern mobile smart phone which has better processing power than the first computers and is minute by comparison has taken less than 10 years.

Radio is universal with thousands of radio stations broadcasting news and music and chat and serials shows without any breaks whatsoever. It is the same with TV. Each major city in the world has a multitude of paid TV channels broadcasting everything from News to pornography, sports, movies and reality shows. There has also been a major revolution in the TV Screens with the advent of liquid crystal displays and these possess been further improved by LED backlighting. These are now receiving signals in High Density and digitally.

What this in point of fact means is that having seen a HDTV signal your old lot will seem poor in comparison. And now we come to the size. Not so long ago the state of the art TVs were big heavy things with a cathode ray tube and 36inch screen. Now a 108 inch is feasible although it is still very expensive. But 83 inch screens are common place and 3D is also being created fast.

It is the screens where revolution continues to take place. LCD displays have now all but replaced the old Video Display Units and also they have made everything far more versatile. Nowadays it is possible to construct huge LCD and LCD walls of multiple screens which can be each be programmed to display a single image or as a group to display part of a whole so that a complete moving picture can be seen from afar.

In addition the displays are improving so that the back lighting and display are visible in direct sunlight, something previous displays were unable to guarantee.

So if you are in the need of a LCD display contact Allshore in Hillside New Jersey (Headquarters on Staten Island) and offering a wide range of units and even able to design and manufacture LCD display modules specific for your needs.

The Quiet Engine Behind Every Connection Most people think of telecom services as towers, signals, and mobile data moving invisibly through the air. Yet behind every call that connects and every message that reaches its destination, there is another system quietly working in the background. That system is the call center. While customers often interact with telecom companies only when something goes wrong, these centers operate constantly, guiding problems toward solutions an
