Table Tennis is a type of Olympic game controlled by worldwide organizatio
International Table Tennis Federation and becomes the most entertaining sports among people. It is a type of indoor game where two or four players play the game at a time.
In Table Tennis game, two types of strokes are categorized:-
1. Offensive Stroke: The terms come under this type of stroke is speed drive (direct hit on the ball), loop (the reverse of speed drive), counter drive (a counter attack against drives), flip (player tries to attack ball that has not bounced on the table) and smash (player execute the attack when ball is too close or too high to the net).
2. Defensive Stroke: In this type of stroke considering terms are push (to keep the point alive), chop (heavier push taken well back from the table), block (simple shot, place the racket in front of ball just after the ball bounces) and lob (shot to propel the ball in the air).
Spins are also the best part of table tennis game because it changes the style of game play. After every strokes some kind of spins are created like:
(a) Backspin: Backspin is that when the half of the ball is rotating away from the player and is imparted by striking the base of ball with downward movement.
(b) Topspin: In this type of spin, the ball jumps upwards and the opponent is forced to compensate for the topspin by adjusting the angle of his or her racket.
(c) Sidespin: Sidespin causes the ball to spin on an axis which is vertical, rather than horizontal.
(d) Corkspin: This type of spin produces the most obnoxious effects, it is not as strategically practical as sidespin or backspin in terms of the limitations that it imposes upon the opponent during their return.
