Learning To Cope With Insecurities

If you are insecure, know that you can change this by letting yourself see your self-worth. You do not need to continue on in this life as less, for that is what insecurity does to you. It takes away a part of you and throws it away. When we choose not to claim all of ourselves and see who we really are, insecurities are born. Let's say that you feel at a loss for words around others, that you are shy and perhaps even think less of yourself compared to others. Why does this happen? It is because you imagine that you are not equal to others; you see yourself as less than what you really are. Insecurities come from how we see ourselves, nothing more.
Let's imagine that you are in a situation where you are surrounded by other people, everyone is talking and you are holding yourself back because you are afraid, nervous, or because you are not sure of yourself. In this moment, you are choosing to see your self as less than you are; it is as simple as as plain as that. When we compare ourselves to others, we usually lose. Instead, we should see ourselves as who we really are, not by judging ourselves by how we think other people see us, but as a person with true worth and value. When we do this, we stop holding ourselves back.
What can you say about yourself that feels real, that is strong, something that you haven't yet diminished about yourself? It may be something you are proud of, but be careful here, for you may be trying to identify too strongly with this, overcompensating for everything else you have destroyed. We build parts of ourselves up to alleviate what we do not like about ourselves in other areas. Instead, we should see all of ourselves as complete and most importantly as everything we need to be. When you stop comparing yourself to others, you allow yourself to be just as you are.
Insecurities come from viewing ourselves as less in some way. Stop controlling your perception of yourself by letting it go. Letting you be you. Chances are that with less worry, hesitancy, and nervousness in life, who you really are will bloom. We hold ourselves back by not only developing insecurities, but maintaining them as well. We give them power, and unfortunately they grow when we start to really believe them. We must look at ourselves differently. Instead of looking at what what we lack or how we compare, look at yourself from a place of acceptance and compassion. Our view of who we are is almost always how we present ourselves. See yourself as complete and everything you need to be. Envision yourself as the best of what is possible. The more you see yourself in this light, the easier it will be to overcome any insecurities you may have.
Understand that your perception of yourself controls your behavior. Your idea of what you are creates your insecurities. Believe what is real, that you have always been enough, that you have been everything you needed to be, always. You have just overlooked this and portrayed something else to the world. Stop believing in what isn’t real about yourself, and instead see what is. You are all that you need to be. Your insecurities are not real, they are a manifestation, created by you and controlled by you. This is important to understand; we are not only the creators of our problems, but we also have the ability to solve them. We can at any moment in our life grow, change, and evolve. No matter the issue or problem we are faced with, no matter how long we have felt this way, change is always possible. Remember, we chose to see ourselves as less; therefore, we can choose otherwise.
