Life is So Beautiful

Today again is another day when I can count my blessings and learn from those that I coach. I will tell a story without revealing who these people are, only because they are destined for greatness and eventually will be known.

The question was asked of me today....so what is next......

Here is the story:

A man and woman live a life together of happiness. They both have wonderful families and are very close. Over time the man develops a drinking habit just like his father. The woman develops an eating habit just like her mother.....still very much in love but fighting dis-ease at the same time.

Then there are certain life events that are the usual factors that make we as humans really begin to think. She loses her father to cancer. It was a sudden thing for her. He never told his children he had cancer. But they were all around and there for him as he passed. The stories of their happy childhood are discussed. The mother sits by and watches as she is disabled by stroke. All these factors of stroke and cancer go hand in hand you see. These are the sorts of things that you can take care of....before hand...and this was discusseD amongst the brothers and sisters.

They were all there for their father even as he took his last breath. He asked the siblings to take care of his wife. Then he died.

The husband at the same time was dealing with alcoholism. Soon after the wifes father died he found himself sitting at the kitchen table unsure of what was happening to him. Head aches, feeling numb here and there, unsteady. The wife came home to this and decided, against the husbands wishes to get him to a hospital. All in good time....he too was dying. I won't go into the dramatics but can say that after spending many days in the hospital and then rehab he is well.

The husband and wife came together then...got even closer. They both decided that this life of ours is too precious to waste....She lost 31 pounds and feels fantastic. He no longer drinks and is speaking to young kids that do.

That is where the question came....what is next.....

This is what I told them....they both have incredible hearts. Go and tell your story. Let it inspire others...and as it is inspiring others it will help you both heal.

The wife hugged me. She hugged me as if to say thank you for helping to see that I have my life back. She and her husband have decided to start something that will help others see a better way of living.

You see my friends....life is so beautiful. Don't waste it. Take care of the house your soul is in....take care of the mind that your soul uses....take care of the world the soul resides.....take care of you...life is so beautiful.
