To be a good human, to learn from a splendid example, and to make ourselves worthy of being known and appreciated as him, even after we depart. It’s because of his tragic death that we realize how unpredictable life is. One day you're here, and the next, you're not. The eminent things that we leave behind are valuable lessons. Kobe Bryant, being an icon that he was, has left a lot of them.Persistent work ethic
Kobe's tireless efforts to work hard can be depicted by what he once said: "I have nothing in common with lazy people who blame others for their lack of success. Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses." - source He worked out, never made excuses, kept himself fit throughout, and made sure he always put in extra work hours wherever and whenever needed. Kobe Bryant was the person who made sure he knows how to keep his team united. He had a clear vision towards victory and clearly, he was on the right path. For the incredible talent that he has, it’s not a surprise that Kobe was the default leader for the LA Lakers during his career. He believed in the power of teamwork. Besides his tireless work, throughout his decorated career, another key to his success was his demeaning trust in his team. He has set a clear example as a leader.Make your negativity your motivation
We know how success breeds jealousy, another powerful trait that Kobe Bryant possessed was how he took his negativity around him. Throughout his career, he appeared to be unaffected by what his so-called haters say. All the naysayers could not bring his spirit and his motivation down. A lot of people thought he was too young to be playing among grown men, but he, on the other hand, took it as a challenge and proved them wrong.A winner was once a loser
Losses are a part of life and they are indeed stepping stones to life. Kobe Bryant made sure his losses never get in the way of his clear perspective towards success. If there’s anything you can gain from the flop, he proved that you can know the area where you need an improvement. In his initial career, air balls and bad execution was an everyday thing but never did it deter him. It only taught him where he needs to improve. The rest like is history.Prepare Your Best And Expect The Worst
A legend is only who prepares himself with the best of his efforts. Puts in all he has in order to fight anything and everything that comes towards him. Especially in the world of sports, losing sometimes triggers your frustration. It is normal to have tantrums. Kobe Bryant proved exactly how it’s done. He gave his best whenever on the court, and never involve himself with the dramatics of bad sportsmanship after each game. He made sure what happens on court stays on the court.Follow your passion
If there’s one thing we know from the life of Kobe Bryant was his clear and very obvious passion towards Basketball. He put his sweat, blood, and tears all into what he was the most passionate about, and Basketball it was. "If you want to be great in a particular area," he once said, "you have to obsess over it. A lot of people say they want to be great, but they're not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve greatness. They have other conce s, whether important or not, and they spread themselves out. Conclusion
