Many people lament that they want to take a new path, however, it is too scary when the outcome is unknown. When you can’t see something does not mean it does not exist. Humans are adept at limiting their awareness with a strong aversion to the existence of what is unknown or unseen.

What you see and do not see is a matter of perspective, like the ladybug that sees the leaf on which it sits, but not the tree the leaf grows on, or the person sitting beneath it. The person beneath the tree may or may not see the ladybug, depending on where he/she focuses his/her attention. Yet, all these things, whether seen or not by the person or the ladybug, exist in reality.

Some people are more gifted at accessing that which is unseen, but given an open and willing heart, anyone can tune into the invisible realm and begin to find their way. When you lose touch with the unseen world, you need to resolve to open your heart of its existence, and it will make itself known.

“Each of us can, and have, mental ideas about all manner of things, which, while ‘logically consistent’ and seeming to ‘make sense’ within their own framework, have absolutely nothing (or very little) to do with the reality of mutually shared experience. They follow the rules and laws as we have defined them – nothing more and nothing less. This becomes very important especially regarding the modern mythologies of psychology and psychiatry.” – Gene Zimmer, Reality, Belief and The Mind (section 4)

You can believe whatever you choose, but some things remain true regardless of what you believe or how you conceive them to be. You have free will. ‘Your reality is anything you believe it to be. The only thing outside of reality is the inexpressible source. And it is an illusion created by language that there appears to be an inside and an outside. More accurately, if somewhat, enigmatically; source occupies an alogical dimension that permeates everything.’ -Harry Palmer

Pause now. Close your eyes; take a deep breath and visualize, or engage in becoming aware of the unseen and unknown aspects of a new perspective in life. Another way to connect with the unseen and unknown is writing your thoughts as they flicker into your mind. Notice these thoughts have validity on some level. As you move forward into the perspective more is revealed one step at a time.
